Understand tip payment statuses

Know what pending, successful, failed, refunded, and disputed mean for a tip.

A tip moves through several systems before its result is final. The status shown by WeTip helps you decide whether to wait, retry, or ask for help.

Pending

The payment provider has not sent a final result yet. Keep the checkout reference and wait before paying again. Many pending attempts resolve automatically.

Successful

The provider confirmed payment and WeTip created a receipt. The creator's available balance may update later if the payment requires risk review or settlement processing.

Failed

No successful payment was confirmed. Check the message from the provider, confirm your payment details, or try another available method. Your bank may briefly display a failed attempt as a pending authorization.

Refunded

A full or partial refund was submitted. Banks and payment methods have different posting times, so the refund can take additional business days to appear.

Disputed

The payer asked their bank or provider to challenge the charge. A disputed payment is handled through the provider process and may affect the creator balance while evidence is reviewed.

Do not rely on a bank notification alone. Compare it with the status and receipt reference shown by WeTip.
