Terms of Service

The rules that help keep WeTip clear, safe, and fair for supporters and creators.

Effective date:

At a glance

By using WeTip, you agree to use the service lawfully, keep your account secure, respect other people, and understand that payment status is confirmed by WeTip and its payment providers—not by a browser screen alone.

01

Acceptance and eligibility

These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and WeTip. By accessing or using WeTip, you agree to these terms and the policies referenced in them. If you do not agree, do not use WeTip.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use WeTip for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.

02

Accounts and access

Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for protecting your sign-in methods, recovery channels, and sessions.

Do not share account access or attempt to bypass WeTip security controls. Notify support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We may require additional verification before sensitive account, identity, payout, or security changes.

03

How WeTip works

WeTip provides tools for creator profiles, voluntary supporter payments, receipts, live presentation, account administration, transaction tracking, and creator settlements. Features may vary by account, location, eligibility, provider availability, or risk requirements.

Unless WeTip expressly states otherwise, a tip supports a creator and is not a purchase of goods, an investment, a charitable donation, or payment for a promised outcome. Creators are independent users and do not act as WeTip employees or agents.

04

Tips, payments, and fees

Payment providers process payment credentials and confirm payment events. A checkout success screen, redirect, notification, or live alert does not by itself prove that funds were successfully received or are available for settlement. WeTip records and provider-confirmed status control.

Before confirmation, the checkout flow will show the amount and applicable charges available at that time. Currency conversion, bank charges, taxes, or provider terms may also apply. You authorize the relevant charges when you submit a payment.

  • Do not submit a tip using a payment method you are not authorized to use.
  • Do not use tips for cash advances, money transmission, laundering, evasion, or disguised purchases.
  • We may delay, cancel, reverse, reserve, or review records when required by law, a payment provider, a dispute, or a reasonable security or fraud concern.

05

Refunds and disputes

Tips are generally final once completed, except where a refund is required by law, approved under an applicable WeTip process, or initiated by the creator or payment provider. Submitting a request does not guarantee a refund.

If you do not recognize a charge or believe a payment was processed incorrectly, contact support promptly. Creators must cooperate with refund, chargeback, fraud, and dispute reviews. Amounts related to refunds, disputes, fees, losses, or reversals may be withheld from or deducted from creator balances where legally permitted.

06

Creator obligations

Creators are responsible for their profile, content, moderation choices, supporter communications, and compliance with laws that apply to their activity. Creators must provide accurate payout and verification information and keep it current.

  • Do not misrepresent your identity, affiliation, audience, purpose, or use of funds.
  • Do not promise goods, services, returns, prizes, tax benefits, or charitable treatment unless expressly supported by WeTip and lawful.
  • Maintain appropriate records and meet your own tax, reporting, licensing, and regulatory duties.
  • Use moderation and live-screen controls responsibly and respond to reasonable safety or transaction inquiries.

07

Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant WeTip a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, transmit, and moderate that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, promote, and improve WeTip. This license ends when the content is deleted, except for copies retained for legal, security, backup, or dispute purposes.

You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit the content and that its use through WeTip will not violate law or another person’s rights. Public and live-stream content may be recorded or shared by others; WeTip cannot control copies made outside WeTip.

08

Prohibited use

You may not use WeTip to harm people, compromise the service, or facilitate unlawful or deceptive activity.

  • Fraud, scams, money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, unauthorized fundraising, or illegal goods and services.
  • Harassment, threats, exploitation, hateful abuse, sexual content involving minors, doxxing, or content that violates another person’s privacy or safety.
  • Impersonation, infringement, misleading claims, manipulated payment evidence, or unauthorized use of another person’s account or payment method.
  • Malware, scraping that violates our controls, credential collection, vulnerability exploitation, denial-of-service activity, or attempts to bypass access, moderation, rate, or security limits.
  • Using WeTip as a bank account, escrow service, marketplace, gambling service, investment product, or money-transfer service unless we expressly support that use.

09

Third-party services

WeTip relies on providers for functions such as payments, identity, hosting, and communications. Your use of a provider-hosted experience may also be governed by that provider’s terms and privacy notice.

We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control, but this does not limit any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10

WeTip property

WeTip and its licensors own the service, software, design, branding, documentation, and related intellectual property, excluding your content. Subject to these terms, WeTip gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for its intended purpose.

Do not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from protected parts of the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

11

Suspension and termination

You may stop using WeTip or begin account closure through available account controls. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably needed to enforce these terms, comply with law or provider requirements, address risk, protect users, or secure the service.

Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Financial, dispute, recordkeeping, intellectual-property, and other provisions that by their nature should continue will survive closure.

12

Service availability and disclaimers

We work to keep WeTip reliable, but the service may be interrupted, delayed, changed, or unavailable. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeTip is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation.

Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13

Limits of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WeTip will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or opportunity arising from your use of the service.

Any limit applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law. These terms do not limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or another liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

14

Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before starting formal proceedings, you and WeTip agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue through support.

Courts with competent jurisdiction under applicable law may hear unresolved disputes. Nothing in these terms limits a consumer right to bring a claim in another forum where that right cannot be waived.

15

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service, provider requirements, or law changes. We will update the effective date and provide reasonable additional notice of material changes. Continuing to use WeTip after the updated terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not agree, stop using the service and close your account.
