Account security protects personal information, creator tools, and money movement. A few habits make the largest difference.
Use a unique password
Choose a long password that you do not use for email, streaming, banking, or other services. A password manager can create and store it safely.
Turn on two-step verification
Two-step verification asks for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone after your password or social sign-in. A stolen password alone is then not enough to get in. See Set up two-step verification.
Recognize suspicious requests
WeTip support will not ask for:
- your password or one-time security code;
- a complete card or bank account number;
- remote access to your device;
- payment through gift cards or cryptocurrency; or
- a private OBS scene URL.
Check the destination before following a sign-in link. When uncertain, open WeTip directly instead of using the message link.
Review account activity
Open Account → Security to update your password and review available session controls. Sign out sessions you do not recognize and secure your email account as well.
If you think the account is compromised
- Change the password from a trusted device.
- Secure the email account connected to WeTip.
- End unfamiliar sessions.
- Review profile, creator, and payout changes.
- Contact support with the time and nature of the suspicious activity.
Do not continue using a device you believe contains malware until it has been reviewed and secured.
