A dispute begins when a payer challenges a charge through their bank or payment provider. The provider decides the outcome under its rules and deadlines.
Review the dispute promptly
Open the dispute record from the creator workspace and note the reason, amount, response deadline, and eligible evidence types. Missing the deadline can end the opportunity to respond.
Prepare relevant evidence
Useful evidence can include:
- the payment and tip references;
- the checkout time and confirmed status;
- the creator page identity shown at checkout;
- relevant communication from the supporter; and
- proof of a refund already issued.
Only submit truthful, relevant information. Do not include unrelated private data or alter screenshots.
Balance impact
The disputed amount and provider fee may be held or deducted while the case is open. A later decision can make the adjustment final or return eligible funds.
Communicating with the supporter
Keep communication calm and avoid pressure or threats. If the supporter intended to request a refund, follow the support workflow and make sure any provider restrictions are understood before taking another action.
