When members help with your stream setup, two people can end up working on the same studio scene. The scene editor shows you who else has it open, so you can agree who changes what.
Where to look
Open a scene from Creator workspace → Studio. When someone else has the same scene open, their picture appears in a small stack next to the scene name. Hover over a picture to see their name.
- Up to five people show as pictures. Past that, the last slot becomes a count such as +3.
- You never see yourself in the stack, only the others. When nobody else has the scene open, the stack is hidden.
- Someone with the scene open in two browser tabs counts once.
- The stack updates by itself as people open and close the scene.
See everyone editing
When more than five people have the scene open, select the count at the end of the stack (See everyone editing) to open the Editing this scene list. For each person it shows:
- Their name and picture
- Their role in the workspace, for example Owner, Manager, or Viewer
- When they opened the scene, such as Opened 2 minutes ago
Select Close to go back to the editor.
Who can appear
Anyone who can open the studio shows up while they have the scene open: the owner, managers, and viewers. Viewers can look at a scene but cannot change it. Accountants cannot open the studio, so they never appear. See Understand member roles and permissions.
Avoid overwriting each other
Edits are not merged. When someone selects Save draft or Publish changes, every open copy of that scene switches to the version they just saved, and any changes you have not saved yet are replaced.
When the stack shows someone else:
- Agree who is editing. A quick message saves redoing work.
- Save small and often so your changes are stored before someone else saves.
- Split the work by scene when you can, for example one person on the alerts scene and another on the goals scene.
- Check the canvas after someone saves before you carry on.
