Connect WeTip to OBS

Add a WeTip browser source to OBS and keep its private scene URL secure.

WeTip Studio scenes are browser sources designed for streaming software such as OBS. Each private scene URL controls access to a rendered overlay, so handle it like a secret.

Create a scene

  1. Open Creator workspace → Studio.
  2. Create a scene or select an existing one.
  3. Choose the alert, ticker, or scene content you want to show.
  4. Save the scene and copy its private browser-source URL.

Add the browser source in OBS

  1. In OBS, add a new Browser source to the scene.
  2. Paste the private WeTip scene URL into the URL field.
  3. Set the width and height to match the layout you previewed.
  4. Enable browser-source audio control if the screen uses sound.
  5. Use the WeTip preview or test action before going live.

Keep the source visible only in scenes that need it. If animations stop after the source has been hidden, refresh the browser source or enable the OBS option that refreshes it when the scene becomes active.

Protect the scene URL

Do not show the URL on stream, paste it into chat, or include it in screenshots. If it is exposed, regenerate the private URL in the scene editor and replace it in OBS; the old URL is revoked.

Troubleshoot a blank screen

Confirm OBS can access the internet, verify that the full URL was pasted, and refresh the source. Then open the scene preview in your browser. If the browser preview works but OBS does not, review the browser-source dimensions and OBS logs.
